The house was nice and the location convenient to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The view from the house was amazing. We even got to see the Northern Lights! The beach is walkable and peaceful. I would definitely recommend this home and would love to come back again someday!
Great location to visit all of Acadia and Mount Desert Island. Quiet peaceful location out of the busyness of “in town” Bar Harbor. It was an easy trip tp Schoodic, Northeast Harbor and Southwest Harbor. Cottage is nicely appointed and free of clutter.
We enjoyed the week tremendously. We didn’t want to leave. The cabin is in the best location, and the private beach just makes your day. We enjoyed the lobster place near by also. We saw several deer in the little yard also. It was the best experience!
We loved this little cabin. The private beach was my favorite. Literally steps from the back door. It was quiet and well maintained. Even with the few houses around you felt like you were at the end of the world. We loved the location. Just minutes from Bar Harbor and at the end of the main road was the best place to eat that we could have asked for. We didn’t want to leave. This is a gem of a place to stay.
This location cannot be beat! Cozy cabin setting right on the water. Perfect for families with a downstairs bunkroom and upstairs lofted bedroom. Gorgeous sunsets.
Beautiful spot right on the beach for our family. We enjoyed skipping rocks and paddle boarding (we rented) each morning and star gazing in the evening. Well provisioned home made meal prep easy for our crew. Thanks to our hosts for being so responsive.
We had a simply blissful time at High Tide! Walks down the beach, hikes, kayaking, and biking all over this paradise. But our favorite activity was watching the tide rise and fall and the wildlife-mink, loons, porpoise, seals, eagles-too may to remember. Thank you for sharing your corner of paradise!
The Maine Island House was exactly what we were looking for, and then some. The house is adorable- a real post and beam. The owners go the extra mile on everything. The drawers in the upstairs bedroom are under the bed and they pull out. But the bedside tables are on wheels, so you don’t have to move anything to open the drawers. There are blankets everywhere and the linens are perfect. The kitchen has everything. The WIFI is strong. The house is on the water, which is nice. We saw seals swimming outside the window. It is not in town, so if you were expecting to walk to coffee shops or something, this isn’t the place. We wanted peace and quiet, so this was perfect. I would definitely come back. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay. I couldn’t believe the view we were able to wake up to every morning. We were able to drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor and had plenty of things to do. We also enjoyed the games, puzzles and cards. The directions were very helpful finding the location as we didn’t make it before dark. Trust them when they say the GPS wont get you there. I would not think twice about going back

Yes, everything went smoothly and we love this place. The attention to detail is amazing, from sharp knives to wonderful linens. There are even options for pillows! We love it!
Wonderful location and beautiful and very comfortable cottage. Amazing view from the living room, wonderful rocky beach and close to all of MDI by car and bike. We saw a mink fishing, loons, guillemot, bald eagles right from the shore. Thank you for sharing your Maine paradise!
My family and I had an incredible stay. The house is just beautiful, thoughtfully designed and spotless. It was the perfect location-close to town and an easy home base to Acadia. Our kids loved exploring the beach and watching the tide come in and out.
This house is located between two other houses and yet feels secluded because of the trees around the house, you have your own little private beach. The house is located 10 minutes to Bar Harbor, which made it easy and convenient to get anywhere. The house was beautiful and included pots, pans and cooking tools for preparing basic meals. Overall, it was a greatly enjoyed vacation and a lovely place to stay for the week.

The location of the property is hard to beat. A very easy/short drive into Bar Harbor and the National Park, but you feel removed from the chaos of people in those places (we stayed during peak tourist season!) View is amazing. House is exactly how it is pictured, and perfect for a family of 4-6. It was very clean on arrival. We put together a 500 piece puzzle they had in a game cabinet which included ALL the pieces, a true sign of a good vacation home. Overall we had a great experience in the property and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to rent!
Gorgeous place overlooking the water. Unfortunately it rained throughout most of our trip, but being here made all the difference. We had the best vacation, and spent a good amount of time just relaxing here. Would definitely return.
This was a great place for our Maine stay. Right on the water, the pictures were accurate to the place. Beautiful home nestled in the trees and next to the beach.
Absolutely beautiful location! 10 minute drive to Bar Harbor. Even better in person than in the pictures. We enjoyed watching the changes during low tide and high tide. We even saw some Harbor Porpoises swimming! It was a wonderful place to spend our vacation.
The sunsets and views make it worth every penny. Very quiet. Nothing fancy, but had everything you need. Don’t need fancy anyway, because if you’re not off somewhere else exploring, you should be out by the water enjoying the water and view. Very pleased!

Lovely vacation at High Tide. Perfect location with gorgeous views. This home had all the amenities needed for a fantastic week! Loved that it was away from the hub bub of Bar Harbor but a quick 10min drive to get to restaurants, groceries, gas and additional beautiful views, etc.
The house is in an amazing location on the beach. We really enjoyed having direct access to the coast to explore tidal pools and watch the wildlife. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Thanks for a wonderful vacation rental

We have been planning this cross-country trip for a year since we were stuck at home due to the pandemic. Your cabin here has truly been a breath of fresh air for our family. We loved it upon arrival and have truly felt at home here. We have managed to do a lot here on MDI- Lulu’s Lobster Boat, Cadillac Mountain, Thunderhole, Northeast Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Bass Harbor Light House. We climbed Flying Mountain and enjoyed the 1/2 way stop at Valley Cove, Jordan Pond, Seal Harbor and of course Bar Harbor-where we enjoyed the family movie night, shopping and ice cream. After all that exploring I think our favorite spot was right here on your beach. Thank you so much for opening your doors in 2021. We needed this beautiful place to unwind.
After 4 years, we are back for our 5th visit. Nothing beats this place on the island. Once again we took some old trails, tried some new ones (Hunters Beach-new one!) and soaked in the peace of the cabin. We loved the renovations downstairs. My daughter who has been coming to ANP since she was 3 brought her first serious boyfriend with her this time, he couldn’t believe such a place exists. We have never seen town and the parking lots in the park so busy-but at the end of the day we could come here and stretch physically and mentally. Enjoyed a little kayaking, right outside the door. We shared this week with my sister again, which makes is extra special. Thank you for preserving this place.
This house is a vacation from (to?) our vacation here in Acadia. We watched silverfish jump high out of the water, skipped stones, slept comfortably…we could not ask for more. An unusual story to share-I hardly believe it as I write, we returned from downtown a sea star, the size of my adult hand and purple, large sea star fell from the sky onto the gravel drive right next to our son. It lost a limb (they grow back!) but we returned it to the bay and hopefully it survived. How wild! The place is nothing short of fantastic.
Beautiful cabin in a great location! The views of the bay are fantastic and only a 10 minute drive into Bar Harbor downtown. Super convenient to get into Acadia with an entrance just 5 to 10 minutes away. Kitchen was well stocked. It was a great home base for us! And we loved seeing the deer.
A real gem. Great cabin, that was quiet and clean, free of clutter and incredible views, anytime of the day, any type pf weather. It isn’t necessarily the biggest place, but because it is so open, and the windows provide such depth and beauty, it actually feels much larger than its footprint may suggest. Was more than enough space for a family of 3. But of course the real draw for us was the semi-private beach. There are some neighboring properties, but there was rarely anyone out down the beach, and it was always quiet (inside the cabin too). Was a real joy watching the stunning sunsets (you probably can see sunrises closer to peak summer), and seeing how much the beach transformed between high and low tides. Saw starfish, crabs, seagulls bob for said crabs, some seals not to far from shore, and watched a immature bald eagle unsuccessfully attempt to either catch a loon, or catch the loon’s catch. Beyond the serene beauty of the cabin’s physical location, it was a great central location for enjoying the rest of the Island. Highly recommend staying here.
We just spent a week at the lovely Maine Island rental and we loved every minute there. The directions to the house were helpful and the space the house located in is picture perfect. The house is clean and tidy-very comfortable. Getting to Acadia National is a short and easy drive and the same can be said to get to Bar Harbor and the many numerous must sees on and around Mount Desert Island. Starting and ending the days at this house only made out vacation more enjoyable and restful. We highly recommend this home to everyone.

This spot was a vacation spot in and of itself. A total bonus: the location is quick access to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor? Everything you need is here, I could have stayed forever.

What a beautiful home you have! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. And, was a very relaxing place to hang out and nap when it was raining. We loved seeing deer in the brook one morning and wild turkey on the driveway. We had everything we needed. The couch is super comfy. Loved exploring the caves on the beach. Our favorite adventures while on MDI included… exploring and hiking in Acadia NP, popovers & blueberry lemonade at Jordan Pond House, carriage road trails around Eagle Lake, sunset boat ride on the Margaret Todd, sunset & star gazing on Cadillac Mountain, and sandwiches from Town Hill for a beachside picnic to name a few! We can see why you spend the entire month of July here- it’s truly a magical place!

Our fourth time here and we love it differently each time! The weather was super this week so we really enjoyed the beach and quiet sunsets. Today a lobster boat picked up right in front which is something we haven’t seen yet. We got into the Park every day including a sunset on Cadillac Mountain in the fog which was one of the coolest (literally too) evenings we have had here. My husband finished his goal of hiking all of ANP’s mountains – avoided the ladder trails – which was quite a feat. The fog has greeted us this morning but it looks to be another beautiful day. Picture perfect week of weather. We’ve been looking forward to returning for a year and the week did not disappoint. We visiting some of our favorite trails and my husband did a few new ones. The 2lb lobsters from Parson’s were the best we ever had and our niece had her first lobster! My sister’s family rented next door at the same time so this was a wonderful family week.
