If you’re considering this for your stay in Bar Harbor, look no further and just book this one! The location truly cannot be beat. With two little kids, it was so nice that we didn’t have to load them in the car every time we wanted to go into town. Its literally steps away from Main Street. Closer than we expected, but also tucked back and quiet. The parking area is larger than we expected. We were able to fit two large vehicles and a car in the space provided. The pictures of the house itself don’t do it justice-its even nicer in person. Had everything we needed and more, with plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 kids. We made almost all our meals at the house and had everything needed to do so. Host was very friendly and responsive with the few questions we had. Overall, cant recommend this place enough and we would definitely stay here in the future!

We had a wonderful stay in your lovely home! We had the convenience and closeness to town (especially Choco-Latte) and appreciated the extra games for kids and the cleanliness. Our time in Bar Harbor was so much fun and were sad to leave but excited to come back!! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

  3. Amato Family

Back for our 4th year and each time we come back we fall a little further in love with this beautiful corner of Maine. This year we extended our stay to 2 glorious weeks and were still sad to say goodbye. This has truly become our home away from home.

  6. Wilson Family

We had a very enjoyable stay at the house. We had plenty of room for our group. The location is very convenient to all Bar Harbor shops, restaurants and is a short drive to Acadia trails. Very pleased with our stay and would book again. Thank you.

We loved our stay at this house! Its location was extremely convenient; it was so close to downtown (walking distance) and Acadia National Park. The kitchen appliances were plentiful and useful. We were able to cook many meals at home. We highly recommend this place and would definitely return!

Hello! We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at your beautiful home. This is our first time at Ivey’s Oasis and the home is clean and comfortable and well stocked. We visited the Park each day for hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. New for us this trip was the Tidal Falls Preserve at low tide, we loved the starfish and we also enjoyed our picnic lunch. We just watched our Orioles defeat Boston to win the American League East. Go O’s! Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

  15. Guest

The house is beautiful and spacious. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us to stay here a week.

  16. Guests from NJ

This was our third straight year spending a week here and we keep finding new restaurants, shops and trails to love and enjoy in Bar Harbor and Acadia. We couldn’t ask for a better “home base” for our family adventures and cant wait to do it all again next summer.

  17. Cara

Our family of 6 (all grown adults) stayed here very comfortably. The rooms were spacious and we never felt on top of each other. The house was stocked with everything we could need! Great location too as we could walk to everything. Definitely recommend this place!

  18. Melissa

Ivey’s Oasis was the perfect home for our stay. Its situated in the center of Bar Harbor, with easy walks to many shops, restaurants and attractions, yet the house itself is surprisingly peaceful and quiet for such a happening spot. Truly, ideally located. Jennifer was very responsive and helpful answering any questions we had. There was even an incident when our 11 year old boy (in true, 11 year old fashion) slipped and fell in the bathroom and pulled the shower curtain rod. I let Jennifer know and she had someone out to fix it immediately. One added perk is that just on the other side is Choco Latte, which became the entire family’s favorite coffee shop and served us well throughout the day. The house itself is beautiful, clean, well appointed, comfortable and bright. It was exactly what we were hoping for and exceeded our expectations! We felt right at home staying here.

  19. Melissa

We’ve checked in and the house is beautiful and everything is in order. Thanks again for opening your home to our family!

  20. Kooshoian Family

Your home is lovely. We had a wonderful week in Bar Harbor. Thank you!

  21. Katie-age 14

I had a great time! I loved being near so many stores and restaurants-great location! We did lots of hiking in Acadia and saw amazing views. We also went swimming, Thank you!

  22. Scott-Kerri-Zoe-Jack-Anna-Natalie and Sam

Our blended family of 7 couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax after a High School graduation, a busy semester at University of Maryland, a spring dance recital, a Lacrosse season and the end of FY Q2. Although we caught some cold/rainy weather during our stay we enjoyed seeing what amazing sights Acadia and Bar Harbor has to offer. From walks around Jordan Pond to ice cream runs to Ben and Bills. Truly one of our best vacations, yet ending with Scott and Kerri’s 6th wedding anniversary. Thank you!

  23. Guest

We had the best week enjoying Acadia and enjoying the great town of Bar Harbor. Our favorite hikes were Great Head Trail, Acadia Trail and Beech Mountain. All rated moderate but really pushed us. We loved our diners at the Reading Room, The Veranda, Havana, Geddys and West Street Café. We also had a fabulous lunch at the Nor’ Easter. Thank you for such a comfortable stay!

  24. Parker Family

What a wonderful week here. The house was well stocked, comfy and walkable to anything downtown. We spent our days in Acadia and evenings enjoying Bar Harbor. The kids were happy here and often asked when we would return to the house, maybe we pushed their little legs a bit much. The memories made were lifelong and so many amazing photos to help recall this fabulous get away at Ivey’s Oasis. Thank you!

  25. Salois & Nosai Families

This was the perfect place to feel at home while also being on vacation that encouraged us to explore daily. We couldn’t have asked for a better Bar Harbor & Acadia experience. Looking forward to coming back!

  26. Cassidy Family

Thank you so much for a comfortable, cozy stay. We were celebrating a 65th birthday as a family with 3 generations from 3 different states (PA, SC, and Alaska) Our three boys really enjoyed Thunder Hole and Sand Beach. A few of us hiked Beehive and really enjoyed that. This was our first time visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia and it definitely went down as one of our favorite vacations. Thank you!

  27. Sarnowski family

Thank you for a wonderful time. The location couldn’t have been better. So nice to walk to all the shops and restaurants. We biked to Jordan Pond, did rock climbing, kayaked, hiked Beehive, watched the sunset and sunrise on Cadillac Mountain and enjoyed so much lobster. One of our best vacations!

  28. Ed

Perfect house for a family vacation to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We had two families (4 adults and 4 kids ages 6 to 9) Spacious house with plenty of space to rest, relax, etc. The house is even more spacious and comfy than the pictures show. The location could not be better, it is a short walk to amazing restaurants, shops and fun things to do. A rock climbing company is next door ( we booked a family rock climbing outing while we were there) We walked to a bike rental shop and did a full day bike rental and biked the carriage roads throughout Acadia. We walked to the harbor and did a sunset cruise. Walked to lunch and dinner everyday. Everyday we found ourselves commenting on how perfect the location. Parking is a little tight, but there are two spots reserved and easy to find access and we had no issues at all . Overall loved this place!

  29. Kerri

Perfect location for Bar Harbor and Acadia. Walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. House was gorgeous inside, kitchen well equipped. Host was super responsive and helpful. Thanks for everything, the house was perfect location and could not be beat! The rainy weather kept us in a bit more than we originally planned but we did enjoy some family game nights with the games there.

  30. Guest from OH

What a hidden gem this spot is! Much different that any other place we’ve been. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Many memories to take back to Ohio.

  31. Skates family

Thanks for a wonderful stay! We loved it.

  32. Victoria

Charming house with a location that cant get any better-we absolutely loved it! We felt right at home as soon as we walked in, and the house had everything we needed plus more. Thank you for the lovely experience.

  33. Killian & Gunnar

Absolutely the most perfect way to hit the “Refresh” button. Raw, unmanicured, void of expectation-truly an opportunity to peel back the layers. Let the stuff that doesn’t matter go by the wayside…and catch your breath. TAKE.IT.ALL.IN. Such a beautiful reminder that we cant hit the pause or stop time no matter how hard we try -but we can choose how we show up and live in the present moment. We hope to carry that indelible mark of the sunsets with us-the memory that beauty and celebration awaits us and the end of each and everyday. Uncle Adam and Auntie Lindz, we thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

  34. Patterson family

We had such a great time last summer we came back for a second year! The AC was a much appreciated improvement. Hope to be back again in 2023.

  35. Seidel family

We had a great time hiking Acadia, Ocean trail, Sand Beach, Great Head, Gorham Mt., Jordan Pond, Ship Harbor, Wonderland trail and Beech Cliff trail. Enjoyed walking to Bar Island nightly to find crabs and enjoy sunsets. Great lobster at Beal’s Lobster in Southwest Harbor. Great family trip, wish we could have done more.

  36. Lang family

Had a great trip where my family got to spend time with my boyfriend for the first time. I’ve been coming to Bar Harbor every year since I was a kid, but this was extra special.

  37. Adam

We had a wonderful stay in Bar Harbor! The house was very comfortable and fit seven of us. What a great location to walk to everything. Beds and linens were excellent and the kitchen is well outfitted. No outdoor space but a short walk to the village green. We enjoyed bringing a frisbee or ball from the baskets down to play.

  38. Jen

This is one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in. It was super clean, the furnishings were new and it was decorated beautifully. So many practical and thoughtful touches were included. Lots of hooks in all the bathrooms, hampers, plenty of cleaning supplies and paper goods, games and puzzles for all ages, Maine maps and guide books, umbrellas, and the best stocked kitchen I have seen in a rental. Communication was very prompt if I had any questions before and during the trip. We loved our stay and loved exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor! We hope to come back someday!

  39. Carla

Great location and comfy home. Housed seven of us comfortably, we enjoyed the porch.

  40. Abby

We had such a nice trip! Acadia truly is our happy place. The house provided us everything we needed. We loved having the space to return to after a tough hike or bike ride. We laughed, ate, slept, played cards and even watched Stranger Things! Thank you!

  41. Laura (age 10)

Thank you! I loved the house especially the hammock! Some places I enjoyed going to were: Thunder Hole, Acadia National Park, Echo Lake Beach, Sand Beach, Gorham Mountain Hike, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, sand bar to Bar Island, Diver Ed’s lobster boat, Boulder Beach, Cadillac Mountain view and last but not least, Agamont Park.
    Love Laura

  42. Elizabeth

This place FAR exceeded our expectations! Insanely beautiful views with beach access and a lovely outdoor space. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable for my little family. We have a two year old and were worried about the layout, but it worked out just fine! The downstairs bedroom was big enough to accommodate a crib and we brought a baby monitor so we could hear her upstairs. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this house to anyone!

  43. Beth

We had a great stay at Ivey’s Oasis. The place is large and has everything you need. It’s centrally located in Bar Harbor and walkable to everything and its a short drive to the park. I especially like that the kitchen is such a good size, so you can cook a real meal when you want to. Parking is a bit tight.

  44. Nick

This home was perfect for my family’s trip to Acadia National Park-the location is unbeatable for access to the Park while providing easy access to all Bar Harbor restaurants and shops. The property management team is very easy to get in touch with and will rapidly respond to any questions or issues you may have. The home itself is very welcoming and high-quality. Cant recommend it highly enough!

  45. Sam (age 5) Hazel (age 3)

We really like being here. This was a great family vacation. See you next year!

My kid got ahold of the guest book and wanted you all to know her name is Eleanor, she was born in July and her birthday is July 2.?

Also, we had a wonderful June vacation here. We are so grateful for the Longacre family and their willingness to share their gorgeous home in Maine. We loved every minute of it!

  50. John

We are currently finishing packing, so this is me the youngest. I’m John and I love Bar Harbor. Every since I was a little kid we have been coming to this wonderland. The house was wonderful and a great location to walk into town. This long trip was one of my personal favorites as we were able to fully experience the place instead of rushing to do a few things. We went hiking and had great diners, laughed, etc. I enjoyed myself greatly and I know my family did as well. This really has been great fun! We hope to return again but this is where the Golding families 2021 Bar Harbor stay ends, until next time!

  51. Humphrey family

Amazing week exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor, we hiked every day and thoroughly enjoyed our adventures. It was our second time here and we appreciated all the amenities of this adorable cottage, thank you! Great home base.

3rd trip tp Acadia, 1st time back since 2018. Great week of hiking, biking and Ice Cream! Great location and very comfortable spot after a long day in the park. See you soon!!

  56. Cole family

This was our first trip coming to Acadia and Bar Harbor, to say the least-I hope its not our last! Maine is absolutely gorgeous, from the scenery to the people and food, it truly was a trip for the books. Coming back to the house after a long day of exploring I always felt a wave of warmth and comfort. I knew it would be a matter of time before my sister asked who would play chess and only minutes until my dad could be found in the hammock reading his book. Here we got to decompress, enjoy each others company and watch the Olympics! We all had a great time and I hope we will return some day soon. Thank you for everything-see you soon! Peace and Blessings.

  57. Hasting & Hayes-Patterson families

The four people on our trip have been to Bar Harbor a combined 12 times, and this was easily the best located, most convenient accommodations any of us has had. The house was so well supplied, we discovered many things we didn’t realize we’d forgotten-like beach towels! We hope to make a return trip soon! Thank you!

  58. Tracy

Wonderful house and location. We had 8 adults in the house and had plenty of room. We could walk everywhere or use the bus for the park. This a great place to stay!

  59. Aaron

We really enjoyed the recently updated property with all the amenities our family of 7 needed. It’s central yet quiet location served as a great home base for our adventures. We have already recommended this property to our friends and look forward to staying again in the coming years! Thanks so much!

  60. Erik
